Hundreds of Gazans fall victim to infighting between Hamas and Fatah

Medical patients in Gaza are bearing the burden of political infighting, between the Hamas led government and Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah, an ongoing economic siege resulting in the deaths of dozens on a regular basis.

According to reports, Gaza’s dwindling medical supplies is due to an Israeli approval process that takes weeks or even months but once it reaches the West Bank less than half of those supplies never reach the Gaza Strip. Lack travel documents, proper medicines and electrical supplies to maintain treatment centers has forced many patients to seek treatment in Egypt or abroad
